History

This recipe was born from the inspiration of our master brewers who have selected a special ingredient: Sicilian salt crystals. Its foam is compact and persistent, the tastesoft, fine and balanced with a floral and fruity aroma. The ideal serving temperature is between 3 C and 5 C. The history of Birra Messina begins almost a century ago in 1923. In the old brewery in the city center, a beer is created in which to rediscover the colors and scents of Sicily, a unique land. The success of Birra Messina has grown over the years and in 1999 the old brewery is no longer able to sustain demand. Not being able to expand or move the brewery outside the city center, we are forced to move production and bottling to Massafra, where Messina beercontinues to be made today with the same care and attention as always.
