From de Sauvignon of Marengo, results a wine characterized by a beautiful straw yellow color, furrowed bygreenish reflections.On the nose, emerge the most typical notes of the varietal with tomato leaf and freshly cut grass. On the bottom, however, there are also evident flavors of ripe fruit such as peach, passion fruit, vegetable and grapefruit. In the mouth, it is pleasantly savory,with good structure and complex. A perfect white for an aperitif with friends or a special dinner, maybe with risotto, seafood and first courses.




Sauvignon is good in Piedmont. Or at least,it seems to be, when tasting this interesting white wine proposed by Piergiorgio Marengo. Fruit, deriving at 100% from Sauvignon grapes coming from the vineyard company of Poderi La Collina. Super traditional vinification in steel at controlled temperature (18 C), and aging on its lees for not less than five months, with periodic mixing. The carefulprotection from oxidation with the use of inert gas (nitrogen and carbon dioxide) allows to preserve and emphasize the aromatic character of the grape. Great is its aging potential, in practice, it is good today but can safely rest a few more years in the cellar, two or three years of patience can only make it more interesting.
