The color is intense and bright mahogany, the taste is decidedly bitter, balanced and soft, in a context of great structure and balance that makes it pleasantly persistent. Petrus should normally be enjoyed straight at room temperature. Alcoholic strength: 45% VOL.
History
The Caffo Distillery was officially born in 1915 on the slopes of Etna. An Italian family-run company, over the years it has become a giant in the production and distribution of alcoholic beverages, with exports to 35 countries. In 2015, the company changed its corporate name to "Gruppo Caffo 1915", celebrating its one hundred years oflife. In 2020 it acquired the historic Dutch brand Petrus from the multinational Diageo, on the market since 1777, confirming its leadership in the sector.
