History
The history of Carpano began in Turin in 1786, when Antonio Benedetto Carpano invented the original Vermouth recipe. Punt e Mes was born nearly a century later, in 1870, in the Carpano shop: legend has it that a stockbroker ordered a vermouth with a half-dose of bitters, calling it "un punt e mes" (a point and a half) in Piedmontese dialect. Since then, the brand has become synonymous with excellence and tradition in the spirits world, representing the elegant lifestyle of historic Turin.
