Cresce in Piemonte la produzione agroalimentare di qualità

La produzione dei prodotti certificati Dop (denominazione di origine protetta) e Igp (Indicazione geografica protetta) del Piemonte nel 2020, anno di inizio pandemia, segna un più 2,7%. Con un valore di 1 miliardo e 387 milioni di euro il Piemonte si colloca al 4° posto tra le regioni in Italia, dopo il Veneto al primo posto con 3,7 miliardi di euro, Emilia Romagna con 3,26 miliardi di euro e Lombardia con 2,07 miliardi, unica regione tra queste ad essere in crescita.

I dati sono riportati nel XIX Rapporto Ismea-Qualivita.

Sono in totale 82 i prodotti cibo e vino piemontesi Dop e Igp con oltre 12.800 operatori dell’intera filiera: nel dettaglio il food genera 361 milioni di euro dove il Gorgonzola Dop, la Nocciola Piemonte Igp e la Toma Piemontese risultano tra i principali prodotti in crescita nel 2020; la produzione del vino è di 1 miliardo e 27 milioni con Asti, Gavi, Monferrato tra i vini in crescita.

Anche nella classifica delle province italiane, emerge il Piemonte con Cuneo che si piazza al 4° posto con 755 milioni di euro di valore sulla produzione certificata.
